I have always loved harrison Ford and once told a boyfriend that no matter how much i loved him, if i ever ran into him, I would make out with him right then and there- until security or Calista Flockhart pulled me off. SO last night, my friend Tina came to visit from the city,and we went out to dinner. somehow, this Harrison look alike met us,and invited a group up to his lovely house. He was very nice and then he kissed me. So now i can die happy. Cause the real harison ford might be too old now to make out with anyway!
I am still looking for a job, have an interview tomorrow, which is good, since i promised myself i would have at least some job by the end of the week!

Ojai adventures
i found a great place to live! i almost moved into one house just because of the walk in closet! it was so big, i just loved it. but the rest of the house was all occupied. i mean, i could have had one little cubical space in the kitchen, but i decided not to.
I am now on a beautiful property 2 miles form town, with chickens, tons of plants, and beautiful flowers and fruit trees. my roommate is really nice,a nd hardly ever home, and the 2 guys who live i the other house are nice as well.
Today, i had an interview at the place i really want to work. i got dressed, decided i had to iron my shirt, couldn't find an ironing board in the house, so i ironed on top of the dryer. the had a weird mark on my shirt. changed the shirt, looked good, and decided to freshen my breath. opened mouthwash, spilled mouthwash all over my shirt. i had 20 minutes till interview and decided i had no choice but to wear shirt from yesterday.
i also have an interview tomorrow at a coffee roasters.
my foot is much better and i have not worn my boot all week! its a little swollen, but mostly pain free.
The entire town seems so friendly and i feel like i have made a good choice.

Final Destination?
i made it to Ojai! i am renting a room for the weekend in a house. it was a little awkward at first, but the couple that own it are so nice and very interesting, open and friendly. I have spent a lot of time chatting with them since i have gotten here, and i like them a lot. They are a little younger than my parents, and she is a master pottery woman, and he is a very calm, gentle man who fixes restaurant equipment. My room has a fridge, microwave, and toaster oven, nice closet.
There is a young guy in the next room who is into music and thinks he is going to be a famous rock star by the end of the summer. he thinks very highly of himself. When i came in yesterday, he told me i could not make any noise because he was recording something, so if i heard the singing stop, i could then run out of the house. Um- ok. I was very quiet, then it stopped, and quietly as i could( my boot made some obnoxious sounds on the way out) i walked out. Then Karen- the owner came over to ask me something, and he came flying out and looked ready to scream. but saw Karen and just gave a dirty look as i went out the door. EXCuuuse ME!
I checked out a bunch of places- one was 250 feet in total. for $800. it did have an awesome pool, but it was so small and painted neon green. The lady said she did it cause her friend who was there before was depressed! There were a few more that were ok, and one i loved, but the guy was in vegas for the weekend- so ill meet him tomorrow. And see a few others. one girl i called had rented out the room already, but said to call her next week so we could meet for coffee, since i;m new. So that was nice. Once i have a place, and can unpack my trunk,. i can go to interviews. but those clothes are really packed deeply inside the back of my car!

Brett Michaels?????
I am staying on Freemont Street in vegas, and its so cool at night. there is this amazing amplitheater type thing. during the day it looks like jsut a sun shade or something. but at night, there are awesome visual displays and lighting. everybody is walking around with drinks,and looking up. Also there are several places bands are set up singing andd dancing. very good for people watching. I was waling along, and thought maybe Brett Michaels walked by. Would he be there? Why not? anyway, i went in and played a starwars slot machine and went back out to the street scene.Then i here "that doesnt look very fun" i looked and its Brett Michaels! he just said it while passing and all i got to say, was"um- yes it is" while quickly searching his face for brett michael clues. i was so start struck. i decided to stalk him, but didnt make it very far, since im not exactly discrete with my big black walking boot on. I really think it was him.
****It really wasnt him! but his impersonator will not forget he was the gimpy girl suddenly appear several times over the night, unable to do anything but gawk..............so glad What happens in Vegas!..........

More VEgas
ok- im a glutton. Im spending 2 nights in Vegas! and i won more $$$$ than i lost! woohoo!!heha
on the 1cent slot machine. not only that, but it was a rock n roll themed thing. it was so loud that i actually earned my $80 proffit. i had to go to a silent area after i collected, to make sure i could still hear. It was so loud, that when someone else played next to me, it was like...............well, it was indescribably loud and hours later, my head is still vibrational. I won more, too and more than paid for my 2 nights accommodation.
Tomorrow i am leaving early to head to Ojai, where i have 12 different living situations to check out.
I spent quality time at the pool today as well. After 6, due some buildings being in the way, there are only a few spaces around the pool where sun is available. i had to move my chair right next to this bald guy. I think he thought i was putting the moves on him. but i told him i just had to share the sun. He would have heard me if he hadnt had his iPod on full blast!
I think it was 112 * today.

Vegas heat
this morning when i left, it was 60* and 2 hours later, driving into Vegas, my car said it was 110! at least its dry heat.While i was walking down the street, i was sure my boot cast was going to melt onto the pavement. Its black, so it feels even warmer than it is. So far, i have not won big at the slot machines, unfortunately. I dont know why.

Unexplained cow noises
My credit card arrived at 12pm, and i drove out of snow mass. I was driving past these guys at a gas station, with my window down, and suddenly, my GPS made a mooing (like a cow) noise. I have no idea why it is suddenly doing this, but- How embarrassing! Really? Yes, its true
I drove and drove thru the mountains, and it was a gorgeous, beautiful day. Too bright to stop for photos, but as it got darker, i did get some good one of all the rocks and landscapes. And while i was taking photos, i got surrounded by a milliion little bugs that got in my ears and hair. i had to drive away while they were still surrounding me, and open the windows at high speed to finally get them to fly away. I stopped someplace in the middle of no where. i mean, its somewhere- there are several hotels and a few gas stations and a diner. I could not drive another mile, so i was glad to see this little oasis.
I had a very great stop hanging out with Sarah in Snowmass, and am so glad she has been my friend for so many years
The name of the town i spent the night in is Beaver! Population around 2,650!

And while i was taking photos, i got surrounded by a milliion little bugs that got in my ears and hair. i had to drive away while they were still surrounding me, and open the windows at high speed to finally get them to fly away. I stopped someplace in the middle of no where. i mean, its somewhere- there are several hotels and a few gas stations and a diner. I could not drive another mile, so i was glad to see this little oasis.
I had a very great stop hanging out with Sarah in Snowmass, and am so glad she has been my friend for so many years

COlorado fun
Yesterday, Sarah and i drove up Independence Pass,a nd it was so beautiful. So much snow- and it was cold! i couldnt walk to the best view around, due to the fact it was ice packed and my bare foot was exposed in my cast. I think it would have been a bit awkward to attempt to hobble over! WE were at the sign of the continental divide. IT really is fantastically divinely beautiful
We went out for a drink in snowmass sat night, and this guy felt sorry for me and said"please let me help your foot- let me touch it." No thank you., drunk guy! im pretty sure that would not help at all.
Today its sposed to snow.......... and hopefully tomorrow it wont. My credit card will be here, and then im heading west!
Last night i had a dream that my parents adopted a big goat that seemed really thin and had a shabby coat. and a
sheep.
My original plan was to go back to Denver, but it seems ridiculous to head 3 or 4 hours int hje wrong direction. there are some people i would love to see, but- i think it will have to be another time!

more adventure
Today, on my way to LAramie, i decided to stop in Fort Collins, where i lived in 1996/97
its been a while, but i decided to find my very first office. i got there, and there was a fox in the parking lot!
in town! then i went in, and the guy who owned the office was gone- in Africa on Safari. but his secretary was there and invited me in to fill me in on the gossip.
Then i made the beautful drive to Laramie, and was so happy to see the Rocky moutains again. And tonight i has nice bbq outside with my cousin Ann!

Holy crap! Kansas took forever to drive thru. So long. And really- there are just so many exercises you can do while in the drivers seat of the car and driving. i did work on my car tan.

I stpped to fill up, and pre paid with $100 BILL, as i have no credit card right now, due to the fraud incident. the guy acted as though i had handed him poison, he looked discusted and said he could not make change. well- what if i buy more stuff? mayube..oh maybe he could do that. he was shaking his head and making all these unpleasant faces. REally register man? this is how you need to act? Then, he turned on the wrong pump- probably so he could enjoy watching me limp back in to nicely explain i didnt which car was mine.

My Cross Country Drive
Countdown to leave- 2 days! I have a broken foot, a canceled bank card - due to someone making purchases in Switzerland while i was in Tennessee and my GPS device is crap.
But nothing can stop me!!!!! Im going. luckily i have an automatic car and its my left foot thats broken, so i can hang it out the window as i drive! Just kidding mom. I won't do that.
