  3. So yesterday, i was so tired of my ipod and decided to buy a book on tape. stopped at walmart- someplace in Indiana or ohio. No books on tape. i bought an 8lb weight instead and did arm excersies all day. GReat! i can burn calories and kill time. then i put turned on the cruise control and did leg workouts too. it passed the time, and i just stopped when trucker passed me.

  4. Last night i stopped in Genseo, Ill too see my aunt and uncle. They are really nice people.
I woke up with a tick on my leg. instead of doing the smart thing, i pulled it out and threw it down the drain. Then my uncle had to get his magnifying glass to look for the head. luckily it wasnt there.
I stopped for a coffee someplace in Iowa, and was so happy to see the option of a whip cream dispenser. Sure- ill put my own whip cream on my coffee! yum!
Now im near Kansas City, which is known for its amazing bbq. Visiting my friend Randall from 12 years ago. We had bbq. it was delicious!

  6. A toothless trucker stopped me in a rest stop to ask about my foot. after i told hi, he went away, came back and said it reminded him of a time he forgot he was in his truck and fell of the back in the middle of the night and broke his tooth. He must have done it more than once!
My GPS device sometimes forgets to talk to me- so how am i meant to know when to exit? does it think i am looking at it on the freeway? i need clear direction.

  7. i had my first death on this trip- a bird ran into my tire and out onto the road. then, my gas light went on and i hit a big valley. up lots of hills. then my gas was not there, and i prayed ot the universe to let us make it- and i promised my car i would never let her fun out again. we had 4o miles to go on fumes. the universe and my car looke dout for me,a d we made it to the next gas station! wahoo! what a relief! i also promised to put in the most expensive gas, but it was already $3.71 a gallon, so - you know- next time!
I made it and am so happy to be in snowmass for the rest of the weekend! or till tuesday!
What a beautiful drive- immense beauty driving thru colorado.
